Chapter - 2 Final Report: Ambur Municipality 2.4.2 Population Growth The townís population growth rate has been consistent between 1.5% to 3.7% during the past decades from 1971-2001. The population growth during 1991-2001 was 3.12 % lower than the State figure for urban population growth.
