10.1.2 Sewerage System
1. Needs:
At present municipality do not have sewerage system but Government of Tamil
Nadu has proposed to lay new system in every municipality in Tamil Nadu. Ambur
Municipality has prepared the DPR for the sewerage system for the town and sent it
to CMA for approval.
2. Sewerage Proposals
The Detailed Project Report was prepared by TWAD Board. The Town has been
considered as single zone for designing of the collection system. They estimate total
length of sewerage 82.00 km .The Sewage Treatment Plant of capacity of 18.00 mld
(ASP Technology) is proposed to be located near Sivarajapuram .

1. Needs:
