8. Do you serve on any other Boards?
I am Chairman of
the MOWA Summer
Seminar Committee. I
am currently a director
on the Elk River School
District Board. I am on
the building committee for St John’s Lutheran Church
in Zimmerman. My wife and I are on the Youth Ministry
Committee at St John’s Lutheran Church. I am also on the
Shiver Elk River Committee (an Elk River Chamber hosted
event that helps raise money for non-profits).
9. You are very active in MOWA, both on committees
and on the Board. What does this involvement bring
you?
As Chairman of the Summer Seminar Committee, I really
enjoy bringing in professional vendors to further educate
us on their products and how to properly install and use
them. I also feel it gives me the opportunity to learn both
business and field techniques from others who have been
in the industry longer than I have. I can then implement

11. What is your vision for MOWA – in both the short- and
in the long-term?
Long term —I really think that MOWA needs to be the
link in providing additional in-depth training on specialty
products that are used in the industry. For example: pretreatment
products. Allowing MOWA to work with the
products manufacturers to provide this specific training and
continuing updated education on products. Secondly, I‘d
like to see MOWA be a resource for realtors who represent
buyers and sellers that have septic systems.
12. What do you wish more people knew about MOWA?
That the MOWA board is very passionate about the industry
and that we are here to serve the industry as a whole.
