Basket Making Basics Workshop<br />

UT Extension, <strong>Monroe</strong><br />

<strong>County</strong> is offering a basic<br />

basket-making workshop.<br />

This is a great heritage<br />

skill that is easy to learn.<br />

The workshop will be held<br />

Saturday, February 23, at<br />

Hiwassee College, in<br />

Room S13 of Lundy Science<br />

Hall.<br />

Participants will make a<br />

small square basket and<br />

cost of $20 for materials<br />

must be paid by February<br />

19 at the Extension Office<br />

at 310 Tellico Street South<br />

in Madisonville. This is to<br />

ensure we have enough<br />

materials and for participants<br />

to receive a list of<br />

equipment needed.<br />

The workshop will<br />

start at 10 a.m. and will last<br />

until baskets are finished.<br />
