Basket Making Basics Workshop UT Extension, Monroe County is offering a basic basket-making workshop. This is a great heritage skill that is easy to learn. The workshop will be held Saturday, February 23, at Hiwassee College, in Room S13 of Lundy Science Hall. Participants will make a small square basket and cost of $20 for materials must be paid by February 19 at the Extension Office at 310 Tellico Street South in Madisonville. This is to ensure we have enough materials and for participants to receive a list of equipment needed. The workshop will start at 10 a.m. and will last until baskets are finished.
