He joined the Rays on January 5, 2012. kyle, 34, Begins his professional coaching career after a five-year career as a right-handed pitcher with the Kansas City Royals (2003, 2005-06) and Boston Red Sox (2006-08)…a former first round draft pick (seventh overall) by the Royals in 1999, the sixfoot-eight Snyder appeared in 93 games in his major league career, including 29 starts from 2003- DaN DeMeNT COACH Dan, 33, moves to Hudson Valley after spending the previous two years with the GCL Rays…returned to the Rays organization in 2009 with Princeton to begin his coaching career after taking a year away from baseball…in 2007 wrapped up an eight-year playing career with the Rays and Nationals systems… the former infielder spent the first five years of his career with the Rays after signing as a nondrafted free agent in June 2000…was selected by the Nationals from the Rays in the minor league Rule 5 Draft in 2004…reached as high as Triple-A 341 07…won a career-high four games with the Red Sox in 2006…in 2007, his only full major league season, he appeared in 46 games out of the bullpen, finished with a 3.81 ERA and was added to Boston’s World Series roster…was originally selected by the Rays in the 27th round of the 1996 June Draft out of Riverview High School in Sarasota, Fla., but did not sign…pitched three seasons at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. TenuRe This is his 12th season in professional baseball, fourth as a coach. He joined the Rays organization on November 1, 2008. BRIaN NewMaN TRAINER Brian sTarTs his first year with the Rays and third in professional baseball…from 2010-11, he was the clinical coordinator of sports medicine at New Mexico State University…from 2006-10, earned his doctorate in health science from the University of Alabama while serving as an athletic trainer…has a master’s degree in sports science from Emory University, where he was a graduate assistant from 2004- 06…was a strength and conditioning coach in the New Orleans in 2005 and 2006 and played his final season in 2007…played for Princeton in his first year, 2000, earning Appalachian <strong>League</strong> midseason All-Star honors and leading the circuit with 48 runs scored…had his best season in 2005, split between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A New Orleans, as he hit a <strong>com</strong>bined .324 with 14 homers and 30 doubles in 384 at-bats…attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham…he and his wife, Krista, make their home in Birmingham and are parents of two young daughters: McNally (6) and Fallon (3). Milwaukee Brewers system in 2004 and the San Diego Padres system in 2002…from 1997-2001 attended George Fox University where he gained Bachelor of science degrees in sports medicine and human performance…board certified nutritionist and athletic trainer, and a certified strength and conditioning coach…played for the Seattle Studs of the Pacific International <strong>League</strong> from 2000-01…was born in Anchorage, Alaska, grew up in Washington, and now makes his home in Boise, Idaho…has a dog named Porterhouse.
