Chapter 4 Daily Maintenance<br />
4.1 Cleaning the parts inside the Thermal Digiplater<br />
To keep the best print quality, clean the thermal head, image sensor, head-position plate, platen roller,<br />
cleaning rollers and the main pinch roller by following the steps as instructed below. Please clean at<br />
the following frequency.<br />
Thermal head --- 1 time / day (after finishing the print)<br />
* Image with many halftone dots is apt to get it dirty, and there sometimes needs to be<br />
cleaned several times a day.<br />
Head-position plate, Cleaning roller, Main pinch roller --- 1 time / week<br />
Image sensor, Platen roller --- 1 time / day<br />
1. Turn off the power switch.<br />
2. When the plate is set, pull it out with your<br />
hands.<br />
3. By holding the opening lever on the top of<br />
the upper cover, open the upper cover.<br />

Do not open the upper cover extremely<br />
quickly or forcibly 90 degrees or more.<br />

[Useful tip]<br />
A locking lever is provided to the upper cover to prevent the cover from closing<br />
down. When opening the upper cover, be sure to open it to the position where<br />
the locking lever locks effectively.<br />
