The 16-year <strong>NBA</strong> veteran owns career averages of 17.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 35.2 minutes<br />

in 868 games (846 starts) with the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic and <strong>Phoenix</strong> <strong>Suns</strong>… Signed with the <strong>Suns</strong> on<br />

July <strong>11</strong>, 2007 and has averaged 12.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 30.5 minutes in 233 games (217<br />

starts) as a member of the <strong>Suns</strong>… For the first time in his career, played in all 82 games in 2008-09, the first<br />

player over the age of 36 to do so since Cliff Robinson in 2003-04… Has played 2000 minutes in four-straight<br />

seasons for the first time since his first four <strong>NBA</strong><br />

campaigns (1994-98)… After averaging 21.6 points,<br />

7.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 39.1 minutes in 435<br />

games in his first six seasons (1994-2000) with<br />

Detroit, Hill was traded to Orlando in exchange<br />

for Chucky Atkins and Ben Wallace in a sign-andtrade<br />

deal on August, 3, 2000… In final season<br />

with Detroit in 1999-2000, averaged careerhigh<br />

and team-best 25.8 points, 6.6 rebounds,<br />

team-high 5.2 assists and 1.39 steals in 37.5<br />

seasons (2000-07) with the Magic, Hill averaged<br />

16.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 32.2<br />

minutes in 200 games… Missed 61 games in 2005-06<br />

due to sports hernia, strained groin and lower<br />

abdominal strain injuries… Spent the entire 2003-04<br />

regular season on the injured list due to left ankle<br />

rehabilitation… Missed 53 games due to sore left<br />

ankle in 2002-03 and underwent surgery on March<br />

18, 2003… Procedure involved addressing the ankle<br />

fracture site, while also re-aligning the ankle by<br />

re-shaping the heel… Missed 68 games in 2001-02<br />

season after undergoing season-ending surgery on his<br />

left ankle on Dec. 19, 2001… Played in only four games<br />

in first season with Orlando in 2000-01 and had seasonending<br />

surgery to repair a broken medial malleolus (inside<br />

bone of left ankle) on Jan. 3, 2001… Established a Magic<br />

record with a perfect 17-of-17 effort from the free throw line<br />

at Minnesota on Nov. 1, 2003… In 1998-99, joined Elgin Baylor<br />

and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in <strong>NBA</strong> history to have<br />

led their team in scoring, rebounding and assists in at least three<br />

seasons… One of only 15 players in league history to lead his team<br />

in those three categories in a single season overall… Ranks second<br />

among active players with 29 career triple-doubles behind only<br />

Jason Kidd, and is one of only two active players to record three<br />

consecutive triple-doubles (Jason Kidd) after doing so from April<br />

<strong>11</strong>-14, 1997…Led the league in triple-doubles in back-to-back<br />

seasons with 13 in 1996-97, including six in the final <strong>11</strong> games<br />

of the season, and an <strong>NBA</strong>-best 10 in 1995-96… Scored a careerhigh<br />

46 points vs. Washington on Feb. 8, 1999, including a<br />

Pistons-record 31 points in the first half.<br />

College<br />

Played four seasons at Duke University, helping the Blue<br />

Devils win back-to-back NCAA Championships in 1991 and<br />

1992… Duke appeared in three straight NCAA Championship<br />

games, won three ACC regular season championships and one<br />

ACC Tournament title with Hill… Averaged 14.9 points, 6.0<br />

rebounds. and 3.6 assists in 129 career games with Duke…<br />

Named consensus First Team All-America and the ACC Playerof-the-Year<br />

following his senior season (1993-94), where he<br />

averaged 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists… Earned<br />

Second Team All-America honors as a sophomore and junior and was<br />

a consensus Freshman All-American…Won the Henry Iba Award as<br />

the nation’s best defensive player in 1992-93… Became the first<br />

player in ACC history to record 1,900 points, 700 rebounds, 400<br />

assists, 200 steals and 100 blocked shots… The eighth player in<br />

school history to have his jersey (33) retired.
