MEET-AND-GREET WITH PASTOR O’DONNELL<br />
As Pastor O'Donnell continues his deliberations for accepting his Divine Call from <strong>St</strong>. Paul’s, at his<br />
request, the Board of Elders would like to schedule an informal ‘meet <strong>and</strong> greet" with him, his<br />
family <strong>and</strong> the congregation on Sunday, August 12, at 3:00 pm, at Roosevelt Park during<br />
Oconomowoc Days. We plan to gather near the corner of Forest <strong>St</strong>reet <strong>and</strong> Main <strong>St</strong>reet, near the<br />
left field fence of the baseball diamond. This informal get together will allow him the opportunity to<br />
meet more members of <strong>St</strong>. Pauls <strong>and</strong> for him to get a better feel for the wonderful community that<br />
God has given us.<br />

Children’s Nutrition <strong>and</strong> Care-Vietnam<br />

Less than 10% of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is Christian <strong>and</strong> the government is<br />
traditionally closed to outside religious organizations. LCMS World <strong>Mission</strong> personnel<br />
have been in Vietnam since 1995 <strong>and</strong> work jointly with the Vietnamese National Institute<br />
of Nutrition <strong>and</strong> also teach management, farming, fishing, food preparation <strong>and</strong><br />
food storage skills. Because of their valued history in education they are also reaching<br />
out to the people through education ministries at the new international school. The staff<br />
has been able to develop relationships with teachers <strong>and</strong> children <strong>and</strong> through this grant<br />
share the love of Jesus with humanitarian care <strong>and</strong> education projects.<br />
