according to our thinking, but according to Thy thinking, for Thy thoughts are higher than our
thoughts, and Thy ways than our ways; and, as the heavens are higher than the earth, Thy ways are
higher than our ways. Let the chariots of Thy glory swing down here this morning, and the messages
of God be like heaven to our hearts.
"Oh, God, bless Thy servant as he preaches the Word. Be Thou with all his ministry. We praise
Thee for the success that the Holy Ghost has given him. Let him be anointed afresh this morning.
Let fire fall on the pulpit. Oh, for divine unction! Oh, God, we want to see Thee through human
agents today, and catch the glory through Thy Word of Thy voice and Thy heart. Speak to our hearts
today through Thy Word.
"God bless Thy saints. In some way lift us up a little higher. In some way deepen our experience.
In some way enlarge our being. Oh, God, make this a day of fire from on high, when Thy saints shall
be lifted and filled as never before.
Oh, Lord, bless the unsaved ones and draw them to Thyself. Let the mercy drops come to their
hearts today. Bless Thy people that have not found the depth of Thy love. Help men and women to
plunge into the purple flood. Let this be a marvelous time and a glorious place all the day long. May
Thy fire be mighty enough to burn up to heaven.
"Lord, bless all the churches; bless all the people; bless all the institutions of Thy kingdom; bless
our university; bless all the members of the faculty; bless all the students; bless all its matters of
business. Lord, put fire more abounding upon that institution. We pray again for the great publishing
interests of our church; abundantly bless them with an outpouring of Thy Spirit and wisdom and
grace.
"And now, Lord, we pray for all our loved ones, and our brothers and sisters and friends, and for
all this poor human race, with which we mingle. God bless them all. The sick ones--Oh, Lord,
comfort them. God bless the nurses in the sick rooms. God bless the physicians, these ministers of
Thine, who assuage human pain and help men and women back to health and strength. Bless them
in their ministry this and every day.
"Oh, God, we pray Thee to bless this poor, suffering world. Bless our city, the mayor and Council,
and all in authority. God bless the president of the United States. Bless Congress and all in authority
in the state and nation, in this land in which we live. While for all mankind we pray, we pray for
America especially, the land that we love best.
"God, let Thy hand be upon us and Thy guidance with us, and keep us, dear Lord, until that day.
May none of us miss the goal. May we go sweeping through the gates into the unseen holy.
