Of the three Persons of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit has been the least recognized both by writers and preachers. The Holy Spirit is intimately associated with the human race in this age. While, as the bride of Christ, the Church looks forward to the coming of the Bridegroom, it is the Spirit who is wooing and preparing her for that position. For this reason it is profitable, if not imperative, for Christians to know what the Scriptures reveal of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit. I am sure the reader of this book, when he has gone through its pages, will have received an insight into the offices of the Holy Spirit that will endear the third Person of the Trinity to him in a new and practical way.
