September 4, 2010 at the Early House in Louisa,Va.<br />

The bride was escorted by her father and given<br />

in marriage by her parents. She is the granddaughter<br />

<strong>of</strong> Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Pr<strong>of</strong>fi tt <strong>of</strong> Goochland, Va.<br />

The groom is the grandson <strong>of</strong> Mrs. Frances Norton<br />

Adams, and the late Wilbur I. Adams, and Mr. and<br />

Mrs. Stanley Patterson, all <strong>of</strong> Powhatan, Va.<br />

The Maid <strong>of</strong> Honor was Miss Megan Duval <strong>of</strong><br />

San Diego, Calif. and Matron <strong>of</strong> Honor was Betsy<br />

Owen <strong>of</strong> Richmond, Va. college friends <strong>of</strong> the<br />

bride. Bridesmaids were Mary Elizabeth Featherston,<br />

cousin <strong>of</strong> the groom, Rachel Bevel and Mariah<br />

Kopris, friends <strong>of</strong> the bride and Whitney Goodman,<br />

cousin <strong>of</strong> the bride. David Holt Adams, brother <strong>of</strong><br />

the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were<br />

Matthew and Michael Featherstone, cousins <strong>of</strong> the<br />

groom. Lucas Hutchins, Brenden Preddy and Ryan<br />

Yuen, friends <strong>of</strong> the groom, were also groomsmen.<br />

Readers were Jessica Durvin and W. Clark Adams.<br />

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s<br />

family, was held at the Early House. It was a sit<br />

down dinner for 50 people which included family<br />

and friends and out <strong>of</strong> town guests. The wedding<br />

reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the<br />

Early House. The couple’s favorite band played<br />

during the meal and for dancing later.<br />

Amanda and Brian graduated from Goochland<br />

High School in 2002. The bride received her degree<br />

from Ferrum College in 2006 in Criminal Justice.<br />

The groom served in the United States Marine<br />

Corps for four years as a Corporal with one tour <strong>of</strong><br />

duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He currently<br />

attends ECPI.<br />

After a honeymoon cruise in the eastern Caribbean,<br />

they returned to their new home in Goochland,<br />

Va.<br />
