Last year’s fi rst-ever Powhatan Chow Down
Festival Director, Runda Harris says “It’s a perfect
way to blend a good cause with a good time.
We know what a great service the Central VA Food
Bank provides for our community but we really
want to help increase awareness of what they do
and give the community a chance to get involved.”
In 2010 the Chow Down festival goers provided
2011 is to provide 5,000 meals.
The Chow Down in Powhatan will take place
and home décor. The event will highlight a variety
of the region’s diverse restaurants, caterers, and
soul food, seafood, and vegetarian.
Festival goers who bring non-perishable items
