Alma Miles Berry, 85, of<br />
Mechanicsville, passed away<br />
on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at<br />
Hanover Health Care. She<br />
was born May 12, 1925 in<br />
King William, Va., on the<br />
Pamunkey Indian Reservation.<br />
She was the daughter<br />
of the late Junius and Juliet<br />
Miles. She retired from the<br />
American Tobacco Company<br />
after 19 years of service.<br />
She was preceded in death<br />
by her husband, Herbert F.<br />
Berry; and sister, Audrey M.<br />
Bryan. She leaves to cherish<br />
her memory two daughters,<br />
Thelma Childress Sutton and<br />
husband, Chris, of New Kent<br />
and Mary “Lois” Snyder of<br />
Philadelphia; two stepsons,<br />
Richard Berry and wife, Sharon,<br />
of Varina and Thomas<br />
Berry and wife, Carolyn, of<br />
Chesterfield; eight grandchildren,<br />
19 great-grandchildren<br />
and two great-great-grandchildren;<br />

Ann Gladding Carreras,<br />
73, of Richmond, passed<br />
away on Nov. 14, 2010. She<br />
was a beloved and devoted<br />
mother and grandmother.<br />
As a faithful servant of the<br />
Lord and intercessory prayer,<br />
she witnessed to the Lord’s<br />
love and mercy even to the<br />
end of her life. Born on April<br />
21, 1937 in Maryland, Ann<br />
was the daughter of the late<br />
Tobe and Agnes Gladding<br />
of Tappahannock. She was<br />
a graduate of St. Margaret’s<br />
School and Pan American<br />
Business School. She retired<br />
from Saxon Mortgage, where<br />
she worked as a receptionist.<br />
She is survived by two daughters,<br />
Sharon Harris of Palmyra<br />
and Sheila Gee of Richmond;<br />
their husbands, Carter Harris<br />
and Thomas Gee Jr.; four<br />

Jr., 86, of Glen Allen, went to<br />
be with his Lord and Savior<br />
Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Nov.<br />
16, 2010. He was preceded<br />
in death by his loving wife of<br />
55 years, Jeanette M. Chisholm;<br />
and his best friend,<br />
“Shorty.” He is survived by his<br />
two sons, Warren Chisholm<br />
