Research
cONVINcINg resuLts
since 2006, the German Geisenheim Institute has been conducting
a ten year test of the characteristics of all types of closures
including the Vino-Lok closure. During the course of the test, the
most important parameters of bottled wines are monitored during
storage and maturing.
Methods:

◯ Visual description, and critical leak-proof and storing results
The research results show that the wines closed using Vino-Lok
mature in ideal conditions. The tests show that Vino-Lok has
additional important advantages compared to traditional synthetic
and natural corks.

The five-year study by the Geisenheim Institute showed that
wines closed using the Vino-Lok closure had a cleaner taste
than the wines closed with cork and synthetic closures.
An independent study of the quality and effects of various
types of wine closures has been taking place in the famous
German Institute, Forschungsanstalt Geisenheim, for the
past five years.
