About use case models
Description Use case models show the types of interactions that can occur
between a subsystem and the users of the subsystem. Within a use
case model, interactions are represented nonsequentially, placing
the focus on their structure rather than their dynamic behavior.
This focus enables the model to present an easy-to-understand view
of the requirements of an existing or proposed subsystem.
Building use case models To build a use case model, you create a use case diagram. You use
the tools in the UML Use Case Diagram Tools tool folder to lay out
the structure of the subsystem graphically in the diagram. Then
you use forms to supplement the information in your diagram.
Support Direct support for use case models is provided in all three
FrameWork products.
The window below shows a sample use case diagram. The diagram
shows the usage scenarios of the subsystem based on the Sell
Products activity. The Sell Products activity has two use cases,
Establish Initial Contact and Project Account Revenue, and a
composite use case, Qualify Leads.
