3DFNDJH 0RGHOV 80/ About package models Description Package models describe logical groupings of objects used in other models. They help organize the various elements of the system you’re modeling. In an OOAD context, package models group classes into namespaces or modules that are used in generating code. The semantics and notations for package models are prescribed by UML. For more information on the UML specification for this type of model, see the UML documentation made available by the OMG. Note To accommodate multiple target environments for code generation, the <strong>FrameWork</strong> implementation of package models is less restrictive than the UML specification. Building package models To build a package model, you typically create a package diagram using tools in the UML Package Diagram Tools tool folder.
