About class models

Description Class models present a static view of the objects on which a system
acts. They identify the kinds of objects involved in the processes
within a system, the interrelationships among the objects, and the
operations that affect them. In the context of a business system,
this type of model is often used as a further breakdown of an
activity or product to define its information requirements. In an
OOAD context, class models define classes for which you can
generate code.
Building class models You build class models in class diagram windows, using tools in the
UML Class Diagram Tools tool folder and the common toolbar.
