The Chamber and Taipei World Trade Center, Mumbai
organized one-to-one meetings to meet members of a
Multi-sector Trade Mission from Taiwan. The delegates
from Taiwan were from sectors such as Machinery for
Textiles sectors, LED Products, Bicycle Machinery,
Electronic components, Household Electronics, Screws
and Bearings, Turnkey Solutions, IT Peripherals,
Automobile parts Machinery, Solar Technology,
Healthcare, Sporting Products and Kitchen Hardware
sector.
Meetings with Italian Companies from Automotive
sector
The Chamber and Italian Trade Commission in Mumbai
organized an interactive session and individual business
meetings with representatives of over 25 companies
from the automotive sector from Italy to Pune. H.E. Mr.
Giacomo Sanfelice di Monteforte, Ambassador for Italy
to India, Mr. Giampaulo Cutillo-Consul General for Italy in
Mumbai, Mr. Augusto D Giacinto, Trade Commissioner for
Italy in Mumbai and visiting delegates expressed sincere
thanks to MCCIA and participants from Pune for an
extremely useful interactive session and individual
meetings.

A delegation from Piemonte region, Italy

visited Pune to present the regional drivers to attract
Foreign Direct Investment in the Piemonte Region and
financial assistance to foreign investors. The Italian
Trade Commission (I.C.E.) in collaboration with the
Piemonte Region (Northern Italy) and the Chamber
organised a seminar on this occasion.
Special interactive session on Doing Business with
Ethiopia
Mr. Genet Teshime, Consul General for Ethiopia in
Mumbai addressing the Business Community
MCCIA organized an interactive session with Mr. Genet
Teshime, Consul General for the Federal Republic of
Ethiopia. He addressed the participants from Pune about
the opportunities for trade and investment in Ethiopia
particularly in Agro-processing, food and beverages,
Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Mining, and energy
sectors, Textile and apparel industry , Leather products,
Packaging, Construction materials, Education and health
and other sectors.

and Celebration of Belgian National Day
The interactive session included presentations by Mr.
Jean-Joël Schittecatte, the then Consul General for
Belgium, Mr. Ajay Mehta – Vice President and Chairman,
International Business and Relations Committee, MCCIA,
Mr. Sven De Wachter-Co-ordinator for IBLCCI, Pune
Chapter, Ms. Vandana Saxena Poria-Chairperson of
British Business Group, Mr. Zubin Kabraji-Regional
Director, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce and Mr.
Xerxes Master, Vice-President, IBLCCI. This was followed
by celebrations of the Belgian national day and
networking.
