under the guidance of Mr. Suresh Bokil wherein 30
officials participated.

1. Presentation on Tax and Regulatory perspective
Gaming + IT Sector
There was a presentation on Tax and Regulatory
perspective for setting operations in STP vs SEZ. The
pros and cons of indirect tax implications connected
to the Animation-Gaming and IT industry were
presented by Mr. Pramod Achuthan - Partner, Tax , Mr.
Nikhil Sharma - Senior Manager, Business Advisory
Services and Mr. Raghav Anand - Manager, Business
Advisory Services from Ernst and Young. 40
participants attended the program.
2. Animation Day Celebration
The program was organized by ASIFA India in
November with support from MCCIA. Event
highlights for the program were :
• “Making of Despicable me” by Macguff Studios
• Art of Animation behind Disneys' “Tangled” by
Clay Kaytis
• Presentation of “Tripura” by Chetan Sharma
• Presentation by Chetan Deshmukh on his creative
animation
• Showcasing various animation/Vfx films.
This program was attended by 200 students.

3. Story Writing/Telling Competition
The Chamber jointly with Vkorus Pvt. Ltd. a New Zealand
based technology company organized a story writing /
telling competition to encourage cross border creative
collaboration.
Three prizes were distributed based on maximum
viewers' rating, script, sound and animation. The story
'EVOLUTION' written by Equinox Software and Services
Pvt. Ltd got first prize for maximun viewers rating. The
second prize was given to DREAMLAND a story written by
Mr. Ameya Sawadkar and Mr. Ashutosh Deshpande for
innovativeness, sight and sound. The third prize was
given to the story ESCAPE written by Mr. Anish Bhardwaj
for an excellent script.

Chief Mentor, Nvidia Graphics Pvt. Ltd. was the chief
guest for the prize distribution ceremony.
Mr. Amit Agarwal, Co-founder Auryn Inc., USA was the
Guest of Honour. He delivered a lecture on Story Telling
in Modern Age. 30 participants attended the program.

Seminar on Emerging Trends in Bio-based Materials and
Products was organized jointly with Polymer Committee
of MCCIA to understand the recent developments in Biobased
materials and products. 35 participants attended
the seminar.
