This was jointly organized with Maharashtra State
Warehousing Corporation. Important points related to
new development of infrastructure on Public Private
Partnership basis was discussed. 80 investors
participated.

Interactive meeting with Mrs. Seema Vyas,
Commissioner - Food Safety, MH and Commissioner FDA,
Government of Maharashtra, on implementation of the
New Food Safety and Standards Act and Rules was
organized. 65 participants attended.

This was organized to discuss the Heat Pump Technology
and Cost saving approach for Food Industries. Experts
from IGES and JICA, Japan were main faculty. 30
participants attended.

American Soybean Association to enlighten Indian Food
Processors about the new food business opportunities.
75 participants attended the workshop.
Agro Industrial Meet – Making Maharashtra Fruit Bowl of
India
This was organized jointly with FICCI, Mumbai for the
development of agro industrial linkage and value
addition to the fruit sector. Mr. Satej Patil, Honorable
Minister of Food Processing, Government of
Maharashtra, was Chief Guest for the function. 275
participants attended the program.
Interactive meet for Food Processing Industries with
BDS Providers
This was organized jointly with Apex Cluster Services
Pvt. Ltd. to extend free business advice from the various
service providing agencies / consultants and micro and
small food processing units. 106 participants attended
in the program.
Workshop on Impact of Cluster Development Projects
This was organized jointly with Apex Cluster Services
Pvt. Ltd., to enlighten the food cluster about the impact
of cluster activities. 30 participants attended the
workshop.
Seminar on Food Safety Management Systems and Food
Safety Regulations
This was organized to understand voluntary and
necessary certifications in manufacturing and
processing of safe food. 25participants attended.
Workshop on Emerging Technologies for Food
Processing Industries
This was organized to pass on the information about the
latest food processing technologies. 55 participants
attended.

Representation to Ministry of Food Processing
Industries, Government of India
Representation was submitted to Shri Sharad Pawar,
Minister of Food Processing Industries, Government of
India, New Delhi regarding urgent intervention with
MoEF – in their notification NO. S.O. 249 (E) dated 4-2-11
issued by MoEF related to plastics (manufacturer, usage
and waste management) rules 2009 in relation to
packaging of food products.
