Select the Detailed Configuration option and click Next. The screen displayed (shown in Figure B-9) now<br />

allows you to choose the role of your PC — that is, what you use it for. For this book, you’re using it as a<br />

developer, and it’s likely that you use your PC for other development work, and therefore you don’t<br />

want My<strong>SQL</strong> hogging all the memory and CPU resources. If that sounds like your situation, go for the<br />

first option, Developer Machine.<br />

The other options dedicate increasing amounts of system resources to My<strong>SQL</strong>, which means less memory<br />

for other programs to run, which is fine if the PC is dedicated to My<strong>SQL</strong> usage. Click Next and<br />

you’re presented with the screen shown in Figure B-10, which allows you to choose how you plan to use<br />

your database.<br />
