Chapter XIV
The Prayer of a Seeker of Eternal Life
That which is called the akasa is the revealer of names
and forms.
That within which these names and forms exist is,
verily, Brahman. That is the Immortal; that is the Self.
Now is stated a mantra: "I come to the assembly, the
palace of Prajapati. I am the glory of the brahmins, the
glory of the kings, the glory of the vaisyas. I wish to
obtain that glory. I am the glory of glories. May I never
go to the red and toothless, all-devouring, slippery place,
yea, may I never go to it."
