When I said: "I take refuge in the prana," prana
meant everything that exists here-in that I take
refuge.

When I said: "I take refuge in Bhuh," what I really said
was: "I refuge in the earth, the mid-region and heaven."

Then I said: "I take refuge in Bhuvah," what I said was:
"I take in fire, the air and the sun."

When I said: "I take refuge in Svah," what I said was:
"I take refuge in the Rig-Veda, Yajur-Veda and Sama-
Veda." That is what I said, yea, that is what I said.
