to bed Saturday evening, turn your clocks FORWARD – YES – FORWARD <strong>on</strong>e hour.<br />

2. ASB Ball will be held <strong>on</strong> Saturday, <strong>March</strong> 9, from 8-11PM at the Hall of Champi<strong>on</strong>s. We<br />

will have a photo booth, and celebrity DJ…. A-One who has performed with Kanye West, Alicia<br />

Keys and Ne-Yo! Today, tickets will be sold before school and at lunch <strong>on</strong>ly - price $45.<br />

There will be no selling of tickets after school. Thank you.<br />

3. The 10th grade California High School Exit Exam (a.k.a. CAHSEE) is just around the corner!<br />

The dates are Tuesday, <strong>March</strong> 12th and Wednesday, <strong>March</strong> 13th.<br />

All 10th grade students must take the CAHSEE - it's a statewide mandatory test.<br />

10th graders: You MUST have your current LJHS student ID both days! If you need a replacement<br />

ID, get it NOW! Pay for the replacement ID at the finance office, and take your receipt to the Library<br />

Media Center to get the ID. If you have any problem getting an ID, please come in to the Principal's<br />

office and ask Mrs. DeCino for help.<br />

4. Its elective selecti<strong>on</strong> time again! If you’ve looked at the 3D design class and have no idea what that<br />

is, stop by room 508 and I’ll share some of the cool stuff we do. I can fill you in <strong>on</strong> some other art<br />

classes you may have questi<strong>on</strong>s about too. If you bring me some examples of your work you may<br />

even qualify for Senior Art Studio or AP Art Studio. D<strong>on</strong>'t be shy! Ms. Shamrock<br />

5. If you want to be <strong>on</strong> the yearbook staff for next year, sign up for YEARBOOK as your elective. We<br />

are looking for people who love to work with photography, graphic arts, computers, writing, and<br />

people. See Ms. LeCren in room 513 to get approval for signing up for yearbook. -Ms. LeCren<br />

6. D<strong>on</strong>ate Blood - The blood drive is next Tuesday. Today is the last day to sign up. Drink fluids<br />

and eat breakfast <strong>on</strong> the day of the drive if you are d<strong>on</strong>ating. Thank you. (Mr. Teachworth)<br />

7. Big thanks to the following students for your enthusiastic participati<strong>on</strong> in the Senior High Math Field<br />

Day at Cuyamaca College last Saturday: Vincent Doehr, Nitika Jain, Klarissa Hollanders, Emily<br />

Dinnerman, Sarah Herrmann, and Jiwook Yoo. C<strong>on</strong>gratulati<strong>on</strong>s to Sarah and Jiwook for winning 2nd<br />

place in Dual Dig II and to Sarah for taking 5th place in Rapid Transit. We are very proud of you!<br />

C<strong>on</strong>gratulati<strong>on</strong>s to the following students who are qualified to take the American Invitati<strong>on</strong>al Math<br />

Examinati<strong>on</strong> (AIME) <strong>on</strong> Thursday, <strong>March</strong> 14: Sarah Herrmann, Erica Liu, and Varun Krishnan. This is<br />

a great achievement for them and a great h<strong>on</strong>or for our school. Wish them luck in this next nati<strong>on</strong>al<br />

challenge.<br />

8. ATTENTION ALL WRESTLERS: All Wrestlers need to return gear to Coach Lindenblatt ASAP.<br />

9. C<strong>on</strong>gratulati<strong>on</strong>s to Taylor Osman for placing 4th in the Nati<strong>on</strong>al Brain Bee in Baltimore this past<br />

weekend. (Mrs. Tenenbaum)<br />

<strong>10.</strong> Attenti<strong>on</strong> CSFers! Our next meeting will be M<strong>on</strong>day, <strong>March</strong> 11 in Ms Shamrock’s room 508. We<br />

hope to see your there.<br />

SENIORS:<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>1.</str<strong>on</strong>g> Seniors- Grad Nite is Friday, June 7 starting at 12 no<strong>on</strong>! You will return to the school at<br />

approximately 5:00 am Saturday morning. There is a three part process in order to attend: 1)<br />

paying the $105 fee, 2) turning in the signed permissi<strong>on</strong> forms, and 3) signing up for the bus.<br />

All informati<strong>on</strong> and forms are available <strong>on</strong> the Grad Nite link <strong>on</strong> the school’s website. D<strong>on</strong>’t miss<br />
