Section 105 (B) and (C): Catering for tastes and interests/broadening choice In order to allow Rother FM to take advantage of the widest range of presentation talent available within the group, a few of our locally-made automated programmes may be voiced by presenters based at other Lincs FM Group stations. However, the programmes would be produced at Rother FM, for Rother FM, using local material (what’s ons, chat about local issues and so on) provided by Rother FM and indistinguishable in any way from programmes fronted by presenters who are physically based at Rother FM’s studios. We note that the term used in this question is “locally-made”, and of course such programmes fall into that category. The draft format wording asks for something slightly different: the number of hours to be “locally produced and presented”. In writing our draft format we have assumed that this phrase is designed to mean the same thing as “locally-made” and have answered accordingly. We trust that using presenters at other stations in the Group to voice a small number of locally-produced automated shows does not exclude them from the category of “locally produced and presented.” 34
