533 SRU Ground Speed<br />

SRU ground speed (V) is important when calculating attainable area<br />

size. The faster the SRU, the larger the area covered. However, speed<br />

may adversely affect endurance <strong>and</strong> search effectiveness.<br />

534 Track Spacing<br />

A. Track spacing (S) is the distance between two adjacent parallel<br />

search legs. It directly influences target detectability. See Figure<br />

5-14.<br />
