CTI OS Considerations<br />

CTI OS Server is a software component that runs co-located on the <strong>Cisco</strong> <strong>Unified</strong> CallManager<br />

Peripheral Gateway. CTI OS Server software is designed to be fault-tolerant and is typically deployed<br />

on redundant physical servers; however, unlike the PG processes that run in hot-standby mode, both of<br />

the CTI OS Server processes run in active mode all the time. The CTI OS Server processes are managed<br />

by NodeManager, which monitors each process running as part of the CTI OS service and which<br />

automatically restarts abnormally terminated processes.<br />

CTI OS handles failover of related components as described in the following scenarios (see Figure 3-24).<br />
