In the first debug example above, authentication is configured on DLS2 Fa0/5. However, it is not configured on R3<br />

Fa0/1, and DLS2 ignores packets from R3. No authentication is required on VLAN 200, so DLS2 is able to send<br />

and receive hello messages with DLS1.<br />

In the second debug example above, authentication is now configured on R3 Fa0/1, and DLS2 accepts hello<br />

packets from R3.<br />
