Command Purpose<br />

Step 1 enable<br />

Enables privileged EXEC mode.<br />

Router> enable<br />

Step 2 copy tftp slotslot-number:image<br />

or<br />

copy tftp diskdisk-number:image<br />

Example:<br />

Router# copy tftp slot0:image1<br />

Step 3 For <strong>Cisco</strong> 7500 series routers:<br />

copy tftp slaveslotslot-number:image<br />

or<br />

copy tftp slavediskdisk-number:image<br />

For other <strong>Cisco</strong> devices:<br />

copy tftp stby-slotslot-number:image<br />

or<br />

copy tftp stby-diskdisk-number:image<br />

Example:<br />

Router# copy tftp slaveslot0:image1<br />

Configuration Tasks<br />

Uses TFTP to copy a <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS image onto the Flash device of<br />

the active RP.<br />

Uses TFTP to copy a <strong>Cisco</strong> IOS image onto the Flash device of<br />

the standby RP.<br />

Enters global configuration mode.<br />
