In no case shall the liability under this section exceeds Pesos Fifty Thousand
(Php50,000.00) for both Landbased and Seabased workers.
B. Funeral Grant
The Funeral Grant of P20,000.00 for both category of workers shall henceforth be
deemed as part of the death benefits.
C. Disability/Dismemberment Benefit
The Disability/Dismemberment benefits due the seabased workers shall likewise be
upgraded and shall be equal to the existing coverage of the landbased workers as per
attached impediment schedule referred to as Annex ìAî.
D. Medical Reimbursement
The Medical Reimbursement benefit shall be maintained at its present level.
II. Premium Allotment
The amount to be set aside from the OWWA contribution of the seabased workers for
the Insurance Benefit Program Fund (IBPF) shall be increased from P87.50 to P165.00, the
amount being equal to that of the landbased workers.
III. Effectivity
This MOI shall take effect 01 July 2003. All Secretariat issuances inconsistent herewith
are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.
