Land Use Leadership Committee
The aim of the Land Use Leadership Committee is to exert leadership in addressing Southern California’s urban land use
policy issues in order to benefit our cities, create thriving communities and improve our quality of life. The committee explored
development reform, infrastructure needs, sustainability, transportation, preservation, housing, among others. The committee
serves as a resource for numerous public and private agencies, including: the City of Los
Angeles Planning Department, CRA/LA, County of Los Angeles, Housing Authority of the City
of Los Angeles, LAEDC, and others.
SB375 Impact Analysis Report
Along with ULI’s other four California District Councils, ULI Los Angeles assisted in
producing a report on the potential economic benefits of Senate Bill 375, California’s smart
growth bill. The report, authored by AECOM, was the result of an extensive literature survey
and two days of deliberations by a 16-person member expert panel, including Los Angeles
leaders Renata Simril, Jones Lang LaSalle, Mitch Menzer, Paul Hastings, LLP, and Michael K.
