In addition, the self flux linkage of the stator is also in phase with the current, as shown in Figure<br />

3.21. Unlike the magnetic quantities produced by phase-A current, the self flux linkage of phase-<br />

A is due to the total airgap flux produced by the stator. It is the synchronous inductance that<br />

enables the total airgap flux produced by the stator to be described by the phase-A current only,<br />

as shown in Equation (3.28).<br />
