here has enabled us to explore the observations by Avigdor Sh<strong>in</strong>an<br />

and has provided a new context for evaluat<strong>in</strong>g Genesis 49—already<br />

the focus of several studies. 6 Further analysis of the <strong>Targums</strong>' synopticity<br />

will cont<strong>in</strong>ue to advance our understand<strong>in</strong>g of them.<br />
