xxviii. 10. Again an instance <strong>of</strong> prolepsis. <strong>The</strong><br />

friendly <strong>of</strong>fices <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Maltese at <strong>the</strong> time <strong>of</strong> embarkation<br />

are mentioned too soon, seeing that this embarka-<br />

tion did not take place until after three months.<br />
