FLOOR PLAN OF BRYANT <strong>SCHOOL</strong><br />
To continue to support and encourage the delivering of comprehensive<br />
health care services accessible to the residents of the Bryant<br />
Neighborhoods.<br />
To encourage and support the development of youth training and<br />
employment services.<br />
To further encourage and coordinate the involvement of community<br />
residents with that of other community resources and assist in the<br />
continuing development of grass roots leadership.(l)<br />
173. During their first year of incorporation, 15 people from the neighbourhood<br />
representing 1 500 families and 5 social service agencies served on<br />
the committee. Thereafter, direct community representation replaced representatives<br />
from the agencies. All members serve on a volunteer basis.<br />
Decision-making rests with the committee which is elected on a yearly<br />
basis. One of the initial activities of the committee was a door to door<br />
survey to find out what people perceived as being their needs. A Legal<br />
Aid Service and a Well Child Clinic (preventative program and examination)<br />
were ranked among the top priorities and were among the first services<br />
