fast accommodation, a cafe was run <strong>in</strong> summer 1997 and was extended<br />
to serve lunches <strong>in</strong> spr<strong>in</strong>g 1998. A number <strong>of</strong> courses on ecological<br />
topics have been held. Aur<strong>in</strong>ko & Okra has become well known for its<br />
delicious biodynamic food at many sem<strong>in</strong>ars where we have catered.<br />
We <strong>of</strong>fer travellers guided nature and cultural tours by foot or horse,<br />
rent out bikes and boats - and do our best to br<strong>in</strong>g life back to this<br />
village, so troubled by unemployment.<br />
The co-op and Labby farm form an organic whole. Many <strong>of</strong> the members<br />
<strong>of</strong> the co-op (presently there are 14 members) and non-members,<br />
who live <strong>in</strong> the co-op's houses work on the farm. The co-op caters<br />
lunch for the farm. The farm produces most <strong>of</strong> the <strong>in</strong>gredients the coop<br />
needs for its cafe and cater<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>ess and is one <strong>of</strong> the ma<strong>in</strong><br />
attractions for the people visit<strong>in</strong>g. Labby is best known for its wide<br />
variety <strong>of</strong> spice and tea herbs, but produces also gra<strong>in</strong>s, vegetables,<br />
meat, wool and small quantities <strong>of</strong> milk products. There is a farm shop<br />
sell<strong>in</strong>g home-grown products as well as a wide range <strong>of</strong> other ecological<br />
products. The farm <strong>in</strong>cludes a large area <strong>of</strong> natural meadows and<br />
