Each group has its own common house where there will be common<br />
meals on a daily basis, place for children to play and place for long<br />
term guests. An area <strong>of</strong> 24 hectares around the village is for organic<br />
farm<strong>in</strong>g by the people from the village that might be <strong>in</strong>terested <strong>in</strong> it.<br />
The village is based on ecological pr<strong>in</strong>ciples with the least possible<br />
load on the environment. This is achieved through local circuits <strong>of</strong><br />
Energy, water and waste, and by the choice <strong>of</strong> environmentally friendly<br />
build<strong>in</strong>g methods and materials. The architecture <strong>of</strong> the village is<br />
considered important: variety with<strong>in</strong> a clear common character for the<br />
whole site has been adapted.<br />
Each group consists <strong>of</strong> three two storey build<strong>in</strong>gs <strong>in</strong> the shape <strong>of</strong> a<br />
horseshoe and with the common house on the fourth side. All homes<br />
have an entrance from the <strong>in</strong>side <strong>of</strong> the horse shoe, and a small terrace/<br />
garden <strong>in</strong> connection with the house. Some <strong>of</strong> the dwell<strong>in</strong>gs are row<br />
houses, and others are apartments.<br />
The load-bear<strong>in</strong>g construction is wood, the outer walls and ro<strong>of</strong> are<br />
highly <strong>in</strong>sulated, the outer shell is made from wood and the ro<strong>of</strong> is<br />
covered by reused tiles. The walls between the houses are made from<br />
