The Ark Permaculture Project is currently grow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>to a number <strong>of</strong><br />
quasi <strong>in</strong>dependent resource shar<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>esses <strong>in</strong> the are <strong>of</strong> develop<strong>in</strong>g<br />
and <strong>in</strong>stall<strong>in</strong>g complete permaculture systems from straw bale, thatch,<br />
pole-wood, dwell<strong>in</strong>gs to masonry stove, forest gardens, pond and reed<br />
bed systems... the current best practice on mak<strong>in</strong>g susta<strong>in</strong>ability real.<br />
The pioneer phase <strong>of</strong> eventual eco-village development asks that those<br />
with immediate practical skills <strong>in</strong> mak<strong>in</strong>g th<strong>in</strong>gs happen go there. Their<br />
wish list would also <strong>in</strong>clude organic market garden<strong>in</strong>g, eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g,<br />
architecture, adm<strong>in</strong>istration and secretarial work for eco-trade. Courses<br />
are also given <strong>in</strong> permaculture, straw bale construction, reedbed<br />
sewage systems, etc.<br />
