Folkecentre for Renewable Energy, Denmark<br />
The Folkecentre for Renewable Energy is an <strong>in</strong>dependent, non-governmental<br />
organisation. It organises courses for <strong>in</strong>dividuals or groups from<br />
the private sector or from <strong>in</strong>dustry. Most <strong>of</strong> these courses are tailor<br />
made although we have an annual programme <strong>of</strong> workshops and lectures.<br />
Examples <strong>of</strong> courses organised by the Folkecentre:<br />
* Update courses on w<strong>in</strong>d, solar, biogas and co-generation for Danish<br />
energy consultants.<br />
* On site tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> plumbers on <strong>in</strong>stallation <strong>of</strong> solar heaters.<br />
* Two-weeks course for <strong>of</strong>ficials from other countries on w<strong>in</strong>d turb<strong>in</strong>es,<br />
water pump<strong>in</strong>g w<strong>in</strong>dmills, solar water heaters, biogas, and<br />
briquett<strong>in</strong>g, with special emphasis to the application <strong>in</strong> develop<strong>in</strong>g<br />
regions and countries.<br />
* Course on w<strong>in</strong>d turb<strong>in</strong>e design, w<strong>in</strong>d farm plann<strong>in</strong>g and measurements<br />
on w<strong>in</strong>d turb<strong>in</strong>es for eng<strong>in</strong>eers.<br />
* One month tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> w<strong>in</strong>d energy expert.<br />
* Sem<strong>in</strong>ars and conferences on different topics related to renewable<br />
energy, environment and susta<strong>in</strong>able development.<br />
Reports and publications cover<strong>in</strong>g our projects are published by<br />
FC-Press. The publication list comprises more than 120 titles. Some<br />
are available <strong>in</strong> English although many are only available <strong>in</strong> Danish.<br />
