Vallersund Gaard<br />
The community <strong>of</strong> Vallersund Gaard is adjusted to its natural environment<br />
- a little below the Polar Circle. It takes time to let personalities<br />
manifest themselves fully, <strong>in</strong> order to allow personal development as<br />
well as the formulation <strong>of</strong> important decisions <strong>in</strong> peoples lives to take<br />
shape. All villagers contribute, give to the community as well as take,<br />
receive from it. They work together, each test<strong>in</strong>g their own abilities,<br />
and give or receive. Work is <strong>in</strong> the bakery, <strong>in</strong> the garden, work<strong>in</strong>g with<br />
stone, mak<strong>in</strong>g dolls, work<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the stables, on the land, <strong>in</strong> the shop and<br />
<strong>in</strong> the house. They perform plays, frequently, they have spiritual study<br />
meet<strong>in</strong>gs, cultural gather<strong>in</strong>gs and celebrate seasonal festivities. Or they<br />
attend lessons.<br />
The many nationalities, cultures and views and the exchange <strong>in</strong> the<br />
village (as <strong>of</strong>ten playful as deeply serious) help the Vallersund community<br />
to cope with personal crises. Crises people have to go through.<br />
Crises touch the community deeply, s<strong>in</strong>ce they show the lonel<strong>in</strong>ess can<br />
