To determine if you are eligible for a patronage capital refund, refer to the list of members who have unclaimed patronage capital funds on the following pages. We’re Looking For You! What are Patronage Capital Refunds? Patronage capital, also known as capital credits, comes from the money a cooperative has left after paying all of its expenses in a given year. At the end of the year, that money is credited to each member’s patronage capital account according to the amount paid for energy used. You Must Apply for Your Refund! If your name appears on the list, you must apply for your refund. Please complete a Request for Patronage Capital Refund form, and provide a picture ID as proof the person requesting the refund is the same person as the person named in our assignment. There are many ways to apply for your patronage capital refund: ■ Complete the form at on the next page, and send it to us with a copy of your picture ID. ■ Download an application at www.kiuc.coop and mail your completed application to us with a copy of your picture ID. ■ Email info@kiuc.coop and request that an application be mailed to you. ■ Call us at 246.4300 and request that we mail you an application. Refund checks will be issued and mailed to you after your information has been researched and verified. Please allow 45 business days to process your request.
