Lihue, <strong>Kauai</strong>, HI - 2/12/08 - KIUC has confirmed the candidates for its Board of Directors<br />
Election on March 22, <strong>2008</strong>.<br />
Members who submitted petitions and will be on the ballot are: Thomas C. Ellis, Ken Stokes<br />
and Ben Sullivan. These members will join candidates Dennis M. Esaki, Teofilo Phil Tacbian<br />
and Peter Yukimura, who were nominated by the Nominating Committee in early January.<br />
A director is one of nine elected representatives of the members of KIUC who collectively<br />
constitute the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors governs the business and affairs of<br />
KIUC but is generally concerned with the broad courses of action to be followed by the utility.<br />
The Board is not involved in the day-to-day operations of the utility.<br />
Members should look for their ballot in the mail in late February. If you have questions or<br />
