3. Operation of nuclear data measurement facilities<br />
1) Pohang Neutron Facility of PAL<br />
- Specifications: 50- 70 MeV beam energy, 30-70 mA beam current, 10-15Hz, TOF<br />
- Measurements of neutron total cross sections of Fe, Ho, Pd, Ni, Dy.<br />
- The photo-nuclear reaction for Ti, Nb, Mo, Cd, Pd, Ag, Au, Th, Er, W, Cu by using<br />
the Bremsstrahlung radiation by the electron beam with energies of 50, 60, and 70<br />
MeV<br />
- BGO detector module was constructed by coupling the BGO crystal and PMT, and<br />
tested by using the radiation sources<br />
2) Vand der Graaf of KIGAM<br />
- Monoenergetic pulsed neutron beam for energies 500 keV ~ 2.2 MeV with TOF<br />
- Measurements of total cross sections of Al and W<br />
- Productions of neutron sources with 4 MeV ~ 6.6 MeV using d-d reaction<br />
- Design of neutron sources at 14 MeV using d-T reaction<br />
