Conference
Room
The Global Hunger Index – GHI measures and tracks hunger globally and by
region and country. Calculated each year, the GHI highlights the successes
and failures in hunger reduction and provides insights into the drivers of hunger.
The 2012 GHI report focuses on how to ensure sustainable food security under
water, land, and energy stress. Recent events underline the scarcity of
resources to produce the world s food. It is increasingly clear that sustainably
feeding 9 billion people will require a much more careful and integrated
approach to the use of land, water, and energy than we currently apply.
