The activity is structured in a dynamic and creative way, which allows not only experts but also practitioners to make a tangible contribution to the formulations of recommendations. The WTD learning café wants to formulate recommendations responding to six key themes identified as the main features characterising the joint involvement of LAs and CSOs in development cooperation processes. PROJECT LABS | WORLD FOOD DAY 17:00 – 18:00 European Portal of Decentralised Cooperation Project Lab 2 Luc Van den Brande, Chairman of the Flemish-European Liaison Agency, Former President and Member of the Committee of the Regions Jacques Perrot, Administrator, Civil Society and Local authorities, Directorate-General for Development and Cooperation – EuropeAid, European Commission Christophe Rouillon, Mayor of Coulaines, France, Member of the Committee of the Regions Serving as the main entry point for cooperation carried out by Local and Regional Authorities (LRAs), the European Portal of Decentralised Cooperation exists to support the development work undertaken by LRAs. This session will introduce the wide array of tools the portal offers (Atlas, Bourse, Library,) and will show how they can best be used to support current and future development undertakings. It will underline how the portal facilitates the exchange of information between actors and promotes new partnerships among LRAs, thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of development aid. Participants can learn how the portal can help put them in touch with partners and funding for projects and see how other projects have benefitted from their membership.
