Our zoos fall into:<br />

n Royality zoos requiring new planning or rennovation<br />

n Post-independence zoos requiring modernization<br />

n Old zoos shifting into new and larger space requiring proper master planning<br />

After an exposure to the norme and process <strong>of</strong> development methods <strong>of</strong><br />

different levels <strong>of</strong> plan (master, layout and management) the participants will<br />

n Review such practices and examples practised elsewhere.<br />

n Review such attempts in India.<br />

n Attempt in a participatory mode developing conceptual plans for their zoos.<br />

n Take the conceptual plan to evolve, develop and refine with technical and<br />

financial support from the <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Zoo</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>.
