Our zoos fall into:
n Royality zoos requiring new planning or rennovation
n Post-independence zoos requiring modernization
n Old zoos shifting into new and larger space requiring proper master planning
After an exposure to the norme and process of development methods of
different levels of plan (master, layout and management) the participants will
n Review such practices and examples practised elsewhere.
n Review such attempts in India.
n Attempt in a participatory mode developing conceptual plans for their zoos.
n Take the conceptual plan to evolve, develop and refine with technical and
financial support from the Central Zoo Authority.
