The topic, being an essential component for any
Master Plan/ Management Plan of the Zoo, was
well explained by B.C.Choudhury in its true
perspective. Zoos are targeted adversely at the time
of crisis/disaster and lots of time, energy and
resources are utilized such crisis/disaster takes
place. It is desirable to have a Crisis/Disaster
Management Plan in place, for effective handling
of any adverse situation created due to such crisis/
disaster. The various aspects – reasons, types, key
requirements in handling such crisis etc. were
discussed in detail.
