Strategies which can be used are:
• To use available water more carefully
• To design or redesign a landscape so that less water is required.
• To apply water to plants much more carefully and precisely.
The above water requirements are proposed to be fulfilled by :
• Municipal water supply
• Ground water extraction
• Treated Waste water
Following points are to be kept in mind for water planning for
zoological parks :
• Potable water for animals, staff & visitors
• For watering the lawn and garden and the existing vegetation
• For animal habitats; essential and non-essential
• For amenity use
