Available CPWD is the Premier construction agency of the Govt. of
India, headed by DG(W), who is assisted by nine ADG’s.
The decision making is done by various officers in
accordance with the Powers delegated to them as per the

Available CPWD has its own specifications for construction and
maintenance works, Delhi schedule of rates 2007 and
Delhi Plinth Area rates for preparation of estimates and
execution of Civil, Horticulture as well as Electrical
works. CPWD has also issued handbook for Repairs and

Available There is a Public Grievances Cell headed by DDG(W). In
addition CPWD has fixed days in a week/fortnight/month
when the member of Public can contact the officers like
AE’s, EE’s and SE’s regarding the grievances of the
allottees of Govt. Qtrs which are available on CPWD

transfer/posting of various categories of officers but these
are not open to public. There is also central works board
for works costing more than Rs. 8 Crores for acceptance
of tenders.

The monthly remuneration by the officers is received as
per their scale as sanctioned by Govt. of India.
Budget allocation to the CPWD is done through various
means and agencies such as Ministries & Departments for
various constructions/maintenance of various works
depending upon the allocation received by them.
CPWD is not handling any subsidy /scheme/programme.
CPWD does not issue any permits or authorizations etc.
